You thought our first big announcement was good? Well we think our second announcement will make you cheese lovers out there dance on the roof with excitement!
After a 3-year hiatus, we are thrilled to announce that CheeseFest is coming back!
CheeseFest was on hold whilst works took place at Rymill Park, Murlawirrapurka, which led to the inaugural critically-acclaimed Ferment the Festival being held in Rundle Park last October. It was great to get creative with a new festival and introduce fermented foods to the people of Adelaide. Things like Kombucha and Kimchi which are not only delicious, but great for gut health were introduced to many people for the very first time, and guess what? You have told us that you love them and how they make you feel! We wanted to combine both of our love child’s and create one exciting weekend for you all to enjoy.
We know that the people of Adelaide love both festivals so… por que no los dos?
Experience some of South Australia and Australia’s best cheese producers who will be serving gooey brie, stretchy mozzarella and brilliant blues… we feel a cheese coma coming on!
There will also be local restaurants, a number of workshops and food demos, live music, activities and stuff for the kids to do too! As well as plenty of stalls to explore and delve in to the local produce and perhaps even a sneaky G & T (don’t mind if I do…).
So lets cut to the chase: Cheese, Wine, Beer and Fermented Deliciousness is returning October 27 – 28 2018 so save the date now!
We also have lots of cheesey giveaways so be sure to follow us on our Cheesefest+FERMENT Facebook Page and on Instagram @cheesefest_ferment – you might even pick up some free Tix!
Our second big announcement reveals our special guest….
TV personality Matt Preston will be joining us for Adelaide’s favourite food festival CheeseFest + FERMENT as our “Master of Fromage”. Matt will conduct cooking demonstrations including his speciality cheese toasties and will also be available for book signings for his new cookbook “Yummy, Easy Quick – Around the World”.
“What a pleasure to spend the weekend surrounded by some of the best cheese in the world” Preston said. “And what better to partner cheese in all its forms – raw or cooked then something fermented to sip, bite or serve alongside your fromagerie favourite.”
Over the past 10 years, CheeseFest has grown to attract more than 20,000 food lovers across one weekend. The festival will continue to showcase South Australia and Australia’s best cheese producers however Ferment will invite punters to try fermented produce such as wine, beer, charcuterie, Kombucha, kimchi and so much more! Come and join us October 27-28 2018.
